The Tarp Kilt

Rain delays suck. I lose my light and the game goes way late into the night for those that have to stay (not saying that I'm one of "those" but I do sympathize with their plight). Good food in the press box makes things less worse, last night things were not less worse, but still, you can only eat so much before that sucks too.

So last night, just before first pitch, here comes the rain to a collective groan in the box. And with the rain comes the damn tarp (games wouldn't be delayed if the infield tarp had never been invented. They'd just call the game and we could escape earlier), but this time with the tarp pull come the scoreboard tease of "The Tarp Kilt"! Hey! Something different! What is this "Tarp Kilt" pray tell?

Sweet! Something to distract us during the rain delay!
Dammit! It's just Hot Dog Brien (Keith on the left) in a kilt
helping to pull the tarp! No braveheart. No Whiskey.
Just Keith in a Kilt. Crap! That is a let down!
Okay. So that went nowhere, how about Jersey Dan? Dan did a little jig and broke out the Jazz Hands on a tarp pull back in June. Would he do it again? You know, just to liven things up a bit? For the boys trapped in the press box?

NO! There are his hands but they ain't Jazzin'!
And that's not a little jig. That's just a sad,
wet man from Jersey standing on a tarp.
The rain finally stopped and they rolled the tarp off the field. By the time the game started I was at Hooters watching the crappy Broncos/49ers preseason game and drinking a Beer(s).

Roll that tarp! Roll it good! Yeeeehawwww!
