25-6 Is Not A Baseball Score

The Sky Sox lost 25-6 last night to Tacoma. 25-6. But that's alright because I left a cold, wind-blown Security Service Field at Mile High in the 2nd inning when it was only 8-rip. I had my shot of the night and knew I wasn't getting anything better.

Meanwhile Chicago, by far the best team in the regular season, have their backs against the wall because of Detroit goalie Jimmy Howard and an inspired D corp. A hot goalie can win a team the Cup (see Jamie Quick/LA Kings - 2012).

Both Tyler and Mitch are listed on the 7-Day DL, but we hope they'll be chillin' in the bullpen so we can say hi!

As a bonus! Tonight a guy named Boof will be starting for Fresno. Wasn't that the sweet chick from the all-time sports classic Teen Wolf that liked Michael J. Keaton? I didn't know she could pitch. Well good on her for trying!

I, For One, Welcome Our New Canadian Overlords

Two of Canada's finest, Jay Onrait and Dan O'Toole, our bringing their talents to Fox Sports 1 later this Summer. Good? Yes. Hella-funny? Yes. Don't take sports too seriously? Hell yes!

Fox Sports 1 replaces the Speed Channel on August 17 and will compete against sport's giant ESPN. Please, please, please don't suck. And Fox, let these boys do their thing. Give them a 5 minute Canadian Corner each show to keep them from getting homesick. Please! Still, anything's better than what ESPN has become, the shout-a-thon all Tebow love fest.

Will this schtick work in the states? God we hope so. Take the piss out of the holier than thou sports broadcasting industry and bring some fun back to the games. Good day Jay. Good day Dan. How's it goin' eh? No need for toques in LA. Best of luck fellows! PengoSports will be watching.

Since today is May 4th, that means it's Star Wars Day. And to celebrate PengoSports spent yesterday hanging out with long driving world record holder, Greg Stafford, the Empire, and oh, Chewy, at the Broadmoor Golf Club for a photo/video shoot supporting Greg's June 28th attempt to hit 277+ 300 yard drives in one hour to support the Springs Rescue Mission (more on the mission and challenge below).

Boston Strong

The Bruins hosted the Sabres tonight in the first major sporting event since the Boston Marathon bombing. Boston icon, Rene Rancourt, came out to sing the anthem and the good people of Boston took it from there:
